Betty Amsden AO
Leadership Program

Established in 2016, the Betty Amsden AO Leadership Program recognises Monash students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have shown leadership potential, matching them in their final year of study with Monash Alumni who provide one-on-one mentoring.

The Monash Alumni Mentors act as career role models, providing connection, guidance and inspiration to their mentee. They share their own stories of personal development and give valuable insights into entering the workforce and career progression. A key challenge for underrepresented students is that they do not enjoy access to the same social networks as their peers. Mentors bridge this gap by facilitating access to their networks; setting-up mentees to transition successfully to the workplace and beyond.
